Kansas City Automotive Museum

The Kansas City Automotive Museum showcases some of Kansas City’s rich automotive history. With 28 historical reader boards and interactive displays, the museum features 30 cars that rotate every 4-6 months. Additionally, we have a drive-in area that is dedicated to the car club of the month.

What began as an idea by a group of car enthusiasts, soon turned into a reality for the Kansas City car community.  Two years of grassroots marketing and three awards later, the Kansas City Automotive Museum received its first major donation from a private donor, making the long awaited museum a possibility.

The Kansas City Automotive Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable corporation. Currently located in Olathe, our interim museum features more than 30 cars in a 12,000 square foot display space.  The museum highlights significant Kansas City automotive history such as 1965 Le Mans winner Masten Gregory (the “Kansas City Flash”), the Ford Winchester Plant, and Greenlease Cadillac.  In addition, the Kansas City Automotive Museum hosts car club meetings and special events throughout the year.

Our future plans for the Kansas City Automotive Museum include a much larger facility big enough to rival the best automotive museums in the country.
